Looper Written Review (Spoiler Filled)

Looper!

In the world of the great cinema there has never been as great as a team up as there is for Rian Johnson's Looper. It's basicaly a time travel gangster type film. JGL is one of the best young type guy actors around these day's he is very talented. So Is Bruce Willis. I did hear that Bruce Willis has a bad personality. I haven't met him but that's what I heard. So was I looking forward to Looper.... Hell yeah! it looks like a very entertaining, well made and special treat. And some really good news it took Best 2012 Movies So-Far away from The Master.

Looper brings something smart and fresh to the table. It feels great, the chemistrey and just the talking from JGL and Bruce Willis was pure magic it felt really good. The gangster type violence is very portrayed in such an interesting way. It is just so cool, it feels like some of the most fun violence in years. It brings some really cool scenes between the stars.

The cast is wonderful, when you JGL, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo, and Jeff Daniels your movie should be great. So that cast make the movie greater than it originaly was, and it was already sounding great before I saw who was in it. The people who went to Comic-Con said the footage from Looper was amazing. I didn't go to Comic-Con but I saw the movie Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope and it was really good.

Then the first trailer came out, and it matched up with The Dark Knight Rises 3rd trailer. It was having a great since of energy and source. It looked cool. So the dialog looked veruy interesting as a consept. Also it broung actually something new to the table for once. It looked amazing.

In "Looper" JGL plays Joe, a Looper. A Looper is a person who stands in the mettow with a time and when someone from the furture shows up he shoots them. But when his future self (Bruce Willis) comes he escapes and Joe finds him self on the run also trying to find his future self.

The consept alone for Looper was amazing, it was cool and felt real, unrelatable. But that's the main thing that makes the consept great. Also the dialog is great. It brings a sence of something violent which the movie makes very well. Also the cast is very special. When you have two main people (JGL and Bruce Wills) thats great. Also the action is something very special. It really fun and just great. Also the ending is the only problem I had with the film cause it had a vibe just like Savages. And I didn't really like it. It felt cold, weird but still didn't make the movie a little worse. I would still give it the same grade.

Overall, Looper is for sure my favorite movie of 2012 so far. It's cool, fresh, corney (in a cool way) fun.

                              Final Grade- A
                      Star Grade- 5/5 Stars

So There will be SPOILERS!!!!! coming your way so just looks at my grade and leave if you haven't seen it. But if you have read the spoiler section!

In the end Joe's future self tries to kill Emily Blunt's son thats kinda like a possessed kid so to stop that from happening the present Joe kills him self with a shot gun so the future self of Joe would dissapear so Emily Blunt and her like possessed son survive, both versions of Joe die. In the trailers there were the resturant fight scene between JGL and Bruce Willis that is in the movie but for about 5-8 minutes was talking then some guy's walk in start shooting at Bruce Willis so JGL starts shooting with them so Bruce Willis shoots a window and jumps out (Cause he shot it and was broken) so he runs then JGL and the guy's run after him so Bruce Willis runs through meddow and get's away then the guy's notice that JGL is the present Joe so they chase him but he jumps in this Flying MotorCycle kind of thing and rides that and jumps off into the meddow and he finds himself at Emily Blunt and her son's farm. This is a minor spoiler if your stupid enough to read even if you haven't seen it Bruce Willis doesn't show up untill like the first 25 minutes. But ik that that wasn't alot of spoilers but that's all I have time for. Thanks for reading!

October Movies Preview (Movies I will Review)

                    Wensday, September 26, 2012- 7:54

This will be about the movies I will review the month of October. Enjoy!

                                                                   October 5, 2012
                                                                 -------------------------

We have Tim Burton's latest work Frankenweenie. When Tim Burton hasn't put out good movies lately (Dark Shadows, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) this looks really fun and has a great sence of animation, Now for some reason I thought that Frankenweenie was a Kiddy halloween movie but I looked on a website that reviewed the film and said "Frankenweenie is geared older tweens but it delivers on creepy and non-stop action that makes it a better fit for teen"? that suprised me. They also said it's creepier than ParaNorman (As of September 26 is my favorite animated movie of 2012) and there lame and do age recommendations and said it's okay for 12+. That really pissed me off cause who ever reviewed that doesn't have good taste. So I'm on board for Frankenweenie! My Hype from 1-10- 8.5/10

                                                                   October 12, 2012
                                                                ---------------------------
Now Argo is my SECOND most anticipated movie of October it looks to have a great story, an impressive amount of charecters, interesting dialog, and great acting. The movie also looks visually cool and interesting. Also I really enjoy the action and some of the amount of little shown from the movie. Cause critics said that the trailers give away the twist. I didn't notice it. But before this comes out, I need to watch The Town. I'm excited.
My hype number from 1-10- 10/10

We also have the new action comedy with an all star cast Seven Psychopaths. This is my THIRD most anticipated movie of October. This movie has a huge amount of laughs in the trailer. Also the cast= great. The acting looks solid, so does the plot/charecters. The only big problem I have by the trailers is it has "No Story". But I'm looking foward to it.
My hype number from 1-10- 9.5/10

                                                                   October 19, 2012
                                                                  -------------------------

We have the fourth installment in the PA trilogy. Now I loved the first movie I would give it "B+" now I wasn't a big fan of the second it was contribed and forced and just to silly for a horror movie, I would give it "C-". But I had a fun time with the third and would give it "B"
But what I've noticed is the trailers are not in the movie. So I'm gonna go in with desent expectations.
My hype number from 1-10- 6/10

                                                                    October 26, 2012
                                                                   -----------------------

This is my most anticipated movie of October. But If you wanna see this do not see the first 5 minute trailer. But I'm speechless about the trailers. Great, great, great, great GREAT!

My hype number from 1-10- 10/10 (Speechless)

Dredd 3D (2012) Written Review

Dredd 3D....

In comic book history we've had crap (Zoom, Both Ghost Rider movies) and we've had great comic book films (The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Avengers) and we've had really good ones (Dark Knight Rises, Spider-Man 1-2, The Amazing Spider-Man) but were would you put Dredd 3D in at, the GOOD level. Now I hated the trailers and posters for Dredd 3D. But it was a very huge suprise. The action was very styleized and cool it had a good feeling to bit fresh, the biggest problem that holds Dredd 3D from being great is the villian. The villian is so familier and she's been in a whole bunch of movies this year. She isn't scary nor haunting. Also the dialog is uninteresting and poorly written. It folds into something boring. But the action makes up for it.

There is also some very disturbing scenes including Judge Dredd and "Rookie" they felt forced and disjointed. Also critics say "Dredd is an absoulute blast and it's better than The Dark Knight Rises and No way! Dark Knight Rises is way better. Probaly the best thing about this movie not including the action is the transplant of it's runtime. The movie is an estimate of 1 Hour 38 minutes. And it doesn't feel that long. It for sure doesn't go by as fast as the Avengers but It goes by fast.

You also really don't give a shit about the charecters (That arm't main ones) they don't do anything that makes you root for them or anything. Also there is some minor violence that could have been cut out. I'm not against violence but there were some pointless scenes of that. There is no story here just like The Raid. Except The Raid makes up for it with the amazing action. When Most of the action in Dredd 3D does it still doesn't fully cover it up.

So overall Dredd has a really fast and not slowpaced runtime, some non likeable charecters, some amazing action, brutally cool action, no story and some really rip off from The Raid Redemption but I'm half on this one, for the most of the movie I was on board. There were for sure some slow scenes though.

Final Grade- B+
Star Grade- 4/5

Trailer Time #1: Lincoln Trailer 1 & The Hobbit Part One Trailer 2

Today we are gonna talk about 2 trailers I have been lateing for for a LONG time, by long i mean very long. The two trailers were gonna talk about are the first official trailer for Speilberg's Lincoln based off the 16th president of the U.S. Also we have the J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Ring's type book adaption of The Hobbit book series titled 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"
Let's get started with The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey official trailer #2.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is the book based adaption from a basically a run on of The Lord of the Ring's, so I was really looking foward to The Hobbit, but when I saw the first trailer I got even more excited for it. But when I saw the second trailer It might take the #1 spot away from Django Unchained... The more I think about it it probally did. This is the best trailer for a movie since the third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises trailer or maybe even the first trailer for Tarantino's upcoming masterpeice Django Unchained. This new trailer has a sence of some new fresh scenes that look very fun. Also the visuals look great, they look very hard to make. Also the wizard gadgettere in the trailer looks expensive and hard work material. Also by the trailer I think I'm gonna like the plot. It follows some very hopefully likeable charecters. Now I just started reading the book in school and my teachers expect me to move fast, so I try and I've almost done with chapter 1 and I love it. Overall I really loved this trailer it has a good sence of action and a good plot.

Final Grade- 9.5/10
----------------------------------

Now let's move on with Lincoln. Lincoln is based off the 16th president and it's directed by Steven Speilberg he previouly resently dircted War Horse (Did not see) and the adventures or TinTin. (B+) so I was really waiting a long time to see a trailer for this, and I've gotta say, this trailer was dissapointing. It had no depth or charecter follow longs. You barely got to hear any dialog or any charecters. Also I noticed it kinda looks like a War Horse sequel which I suprisingly would'nt be interested in cause War Horse didn't look interesting. But this trailer barely shows anything fun it looks boring. It doesn't look likea Speilberg film. And it shouldn't be. So overall, Lincoln Official Trailer 1 shows nothing special nor great like a Speilberg film.

Final Grade- 7/10

Premium Rush Late Written Review

Premium Rush....

In the world of biking and stunts there comes a few movies
can make it right or even work, so can JGL make it work... Yah. Premium Rush ended up being a huge suprise. The trailers lacked action except for the cool bike scenes or JGL. Of course JGL stole the show. He is very good as always for what he had to do. Also I thought the story was pretty strong. A fearless bike messenger. That's cool.

Also I thought the action bike scenes were great, they are very well shot and made. JGL knows how to ride a bike. I also really liked the soundtrack it play's very cool music when something is about to happen. Jamie Chung is in this movie, she was desent like alway's. The biggest thing holding Premium Rush down is the unlikable dick-head villian, he strikes with nothing good or even ok acting wise.

Also I was always interested in the dialog it was very "corney."
there is one scene: SPOILER ALERT!- One scene when JGL tells the villian to "Suck It Douchebag" that scene made me laugh so hard. So the main and only stand out is JGL

Overall Premium Rush delivers on cool bike stunts, good peformances by JGL with a great ending.
Final Grade= B+
Star Grade= 4/5

The Cold Light of Day Written Review

The Cold Light of Day....

When it came to expectations for this it was a 0 cause I was not looking foward to it at all. The action looked prescise and corney, the charecters are not likeable here and the action is dull and Uninteresting. Also the actors in this movie looked bored. So is the Cold Light of Day as bad as I thought it would be no, but is it bad.... Yah. The Cold Light of Day brings nothing new to the table with dull action as expected. The story is overally repetative of it's self and it got on my nerves. Henry Cavile however you spell his last name he lookes bored and embaressed to be in it.

The action thinks it's so cool and it tries to be like The Bourne Movies, and it's nowhere as cool as the 4 Bourne movies. Also the girl who tries to trick Will (Henry Cavile) is so not good. She is so annoying and irritating. Also this movie has terrible dialog it's so uninteresting and poorly written. Also the effecs and explosions are also boring. The actors include Bruce Willis, He is totally wasted in this movie he has nothing to do sence he dies.

Overall The Cold Light of Day is just a really bad movie. It has very very very very very uninteresting dialog, unlikeable charecters, a overally repedative and familer story and stupid and bad action make for a non solid "action" movie.

Total Recall (2012) Late Written Review

Total Recall...
Total Recall (2012) follows Douglass Quiad, a man who thinks he has dreams about a girl (Jessica Biel) so he goes to Rekall. Rekall is a place were they can insert your dreams into you life. When it goes wrong he finds him on the run with Jessica Biel.
The hit Arnold science fiction classic get's remade in a different cast and typical way with Colin Farrell. Now I originaly thought that Colin Farrell was a remake king, cause I really enjoyed the Fright Night remake and would give it "B" and "3.5/5". Thinking now that I finaly saw this.... He isn't anymore. When Total Recall Remake isn't bad it's pretty fun but forgettable, for the most part it's average. Now this is coming from a kid who didn't see the origanal.

When the remake has amazing special effects and visuals, the story and average spent charecters make it into what it is. I think the  strongest thing besides the visuals and effects, Colin Farrell is great in this movie. He makes Douglas into a likeale charecter

These are the second best effects of the year without a dought but Prometheus still takes the cake.
Also Kate Beckinsale really has nothing to do in this movie, she has some of the most obvious and obnoxious dialog in about 2 months. I really enjoyed Jessica Biel in this movie. Of Kate Beckinsale movies this year this is for sure the best, Contraband I would give 2.5/5 and is way better than Underworld Awakening.

Overall Total Recall Is a very cool and fun time at the movies but it's forgettable fun at the time but the Visuals, effects, some of the peformances, and some cool explosions it's very forgettable fun.

Final Grade= B
Star Grade= 3.5/5 Stars
